The Start in a Run-down Shop of 20 Square Meter with Just a Tester Lamp and Voltmeter:

1981- Our story begins with Ahmet Sağlam's graduation from Middle East Technical University Department of Electrical – Electronics Engineering (METU),
in June 1981.
Initially, he designed and produced industrial electronic devices in different fields, which he started as a single man team.
Later, in 1985, with the demands of local textile companies, he started to repair and service electronic weaving looms, thus moved to the textile field. In those years when electronic weaving looms had just entered Denizli, he was the first installer of those looms, solving the first technical problems of Denizli’s textile companies and made very important contributions to the Turkish textile industry.
In 1990, it was a milestone in his business life when he was offered to become the technical service of the well-known Italian loom manufacturer Nuovo Pignone-Smit Company in Turkey. The collaboration with Nuovo Pignone-Smit and its successors continued for more than 20 years.
In the meantime, some other esteemed European textile machinery producer became our clients.
In 1996, he founded his weaving business with 2 weaving looms and jacquard with the know-how gained from his technical service. Since then, for 25 years, Saglam company has been weaving terry cloth with 12 jacquard weaving looms in its own 7500 square meters area.
Today our one-man team transformed into a limited company and continues weaving with those two old looms by developing with the same principles as the head of the company.

Why we started the weaving

We wanted to create high quality towels that evoke good feelings while embracing people, give a silky softness and clean feeling to the touch, love people and respect nature.
